2. We will keep doing Chinese announcement in the morning to whole school. This week, we will have Andrew and Nia from Blue class to do it.
3. Just in case you lost track, Blue class will be in Mrs. Huang's classroom and Red class will be in Mrs. Hansen's classroom in the morning this week (week 18).

Chinese homework stroke Order, definition, and handwriting practice
To go to the handwriting practice function, please click on each character (or the character you want your kid to practice) below, and it will open a new window. - Topic: where is/are XXX?
- Reading & writing practice. Students read books and then write down if there's any words they can recognize.
- Writing practice: write homework vocabulary and make a sentence with the word.
- Blue class students write 2 YCT level two words on a fish shaped paper and I choose two students' works to stick on our "Ocean wall" (YCT level 2 vocabulary).
Meth:
- Both red and blue class completed topic 8-7.
- Starting with number 10, students roll dices and write down math sentence and solve the problem. Then roll the dice again and do a math ladder to complete the sheet.
- Red class completed a "2016 color sheet" that students need to solve all math problem to figure out what color they need to color on each number.
Interconnection (Science & Social Study)
- Students watch a video about gravity.

- Speaking practice (bigger/smaller/same): 2 or 3 students in a group. Each student hold a number card. Students need to say if his/her number card is bigger/smaller/the same with his/her partner's number card.

- Activity about gravity. We drop things down and see how it falls. We also compare 2 different things to see which one is faster and have a record on a sheet. Students have a discussion about how and why things fall down and what influence their falling speed. After discussion, we watch some video about how astronaut live outside of earth without gravity.

- Two students in a group. Each group has a lunch bag with some chips in it. Students need to count how many chips in the bag. One student, then, take out some chips. Then two students need to fill out the math sentence with the number of chips they just took out and find the answer of how many chips left in the bag.

- Review weekly vocabulary: Practicing vocabulary by walking around the table and say the name on each card. Then students write down each vocabulary on their worksheets and cut each word out. The teacher collects all words and put all in a bag. Then randomly pick one word and have students to say the word and make a sentence out from the word.

- Review weekly vocabulary: One student points out the word and others say the name. Then each student writes each vocabulary three times on their notebook.
