What Mrs. Huang wants to say to you:
1. No math homework this Tuesday but we will have a math homework (topic 7 review) on Wednesday because we will have a topic 7 test on Thursday. Make sure your kid practice the topic concepts enough to be well prepared for the test. Pay attention on Wednesday’s math homework is a way; log in to our Pearson math online class to do the topic assessment is another. I’d recommend you to do both. The last day to do Topic 7 online class is January 3rd (by 11:59 pm) and then I will put topic 9 on it. Log in to Pearson math online class detail attached at end of this email.
2. Chinese writing test this Friday. We have a student asked me why we always do the same test on our weekly writing test. I love this question so much as I know the student is paying attention on our test. However, if you pay closer attention, you will find that our test content are adjust a little every one week or two. My purpose to assign test in this way for some major reasons: a) so students have confident on the test when they see most of test are the same and they know how to do it; b) vocabulary are repeating on our weekly test so I can be sure that students are familiar with them and I removed them once I know nearly everyone won’t forget them; c) new vocabulary/ sentences will be added very one week or two so students will be actually only be tested on few new words every week. Remember, all vocabulary/sentences on our weekly test are vocabulary our students need to be able to familiar on all language learning areas (listening, speaking, reading, and writing).
3. The last day you can have your kid to do Mandarin Matric lesson 7 (3 books) will be January 7th and then I will give our scores on topic 7.
