Who's in Mrs. Huang's classroom this week: Morning RED Class ; AfternoonBLUE Class.
What Mrs. Huang wants to say to you:
1. Volunteers volunteers, and more volunteers needed:
a) Volunteers at the Lunar New Year celebration: We are expecting more than 600 people will show up at the Lunar New Year celebration on Monday night at 6 pm. If you are coming and willing to be a volunteer, please come to the event at around 5:30 pm at gym;
b) if you are willing to provide your experience about how your kid(s) benefit from our DLI program, some interested future DLI students' parents may want to hear from you. We will have a short meeting at 5:30 pm on Monday (right before the Lunar New Year celebration) at library for those who are interested for their kid(s) in DLI program. Please come and provide your experience for their information. Please note that I am not sure if we will have time for experience sharing, but if we do, your experience will be very helpful for those families;
c) Field trip to Salt Lake City Capital on Tuesday. We can use few more volunteers on the day. Please contact either me or Mrs. Hansen if you are available to do so. Please note that for this event, you need to be cleared to be a volunteer. Thank you.
d) Valentine's Day Party volunteers: From 2:15 pm to 3:15 pm on Friday, Feb 12th. Please contact either me or Mrs. Hansen if you are able to help during the time. Thank you.

What students have done in Chinese class this week:
02/08
- For both Chinese and math: We played a game that two teams compete with each team. There are 15 spots and 15 "challenges" under the notes. The first team will need to pick one number between 1 to 15. And the second team will turn up the card on the number spot. Then the first team will need to do the challenges wrote on the card. There are math, Chinese literacy, funny challenges, and one treat in them. The first team pick out the treat card wins and will have the treat.
- In the video below, the challenge is to sing the "week song" so they sign it. That's a lot of fun and educational. ^_^
- "The story of Nian" story telling practice.
- Red class completed topic 10-2
- Blue class completed topic 10-4
