What Mrs. Huang wants to say to you:
1. Even though Chinese New Year day will be on February 16th but we are celebrating it early on Monday, January 29th. The event will be hold from 5 pm to 7 pm at gym. We still need some parent volunteers. If you are available and willing to volunteer, please contact our PTA at [email protected]
2. We will teach math lesson 10-2 (Monday), 10-3 (Tuesday), 10-4 (Thursday), and 10-5 (Friday) this week. Please have your kid to practice these lessons on our Pearson math online class. Don’t forget to also review lesson 10-1. Link here: http://tinyurl.com/tcsd-pearsonrealize
3. For all our online classes (Chinese and math) and Quizizz games, I added a link in our class website that lists ways to log in to Quizizz, Chinese online class (Mandarin Matrix), and math online class (Pearson) for your convenience. Here’s the link: http://2ndchinesedli.weebly.com/resources.html
4. For just in case you didn’t know that you can have your kid record their voice on our Chinese online class (Mandarin Matrix) and I can listen to their record on my end. Be sure you take the advantage on our Chinese online class. Our kids are on lesson 9 (9-1, 9-2, and 9-3 for 3 books) so you can have them to practice these 3 books there. Click it to begin! Students, whoever got higher score than I did on Quizizz, will get a lollipop or 3 stickers.

6. Chinese morning announcement students will be Christian and Mason Y. from Red class.
7. Be sure you visit our class website and have your kid practice stroke order at least 2 words a day. Our class website provides many information you will need including homework download (Chinese and math), Chinese homework writing stroke order, translation, as well as our class pictures and videos. I encourage you to ask your kid what we were doing in the picture which you would know if your kid knows the purpose and content we were learning in Chinese classroom. Chinese homework stroke Order, definition, and handwriting practice
Please follow the stroke order while your kid is writing Chinese homework. Click on each word for stroke order and other information about the character. To go to the handwriting practice function, please click on each character below, and it will open a new window. Then click on the brush under the word, then you will be able to practice handwriting the character(see the videos below for an example). I really love this function and hope our kids can use it.
