Week 33 (04/18-04/21)
Who's in Mrs. Huang's classroom this week: Morning RED Class ; Afternoon BLUE Class.
What Mrs. Huang wants to say to you:
1. For past 2 weeks, our students' YCT mock test scores are remarkable increased. They are getting closer to my expectation. :) I thank you all parents so much for keeping your students doing their homework and the Quizizz game. I noticed that students whose YCT score didn't increased mostly are those who didn't write their homework carefully. I would recommend students to read the sentence on homework first and then write the sentence. Also, please make sure you check your students' YCT mock test score on Tuesday.
2. Keep your students complete their homework daily in order to participant all our end-of-2nd-grade activities (swimming, field trip, field day...). If you have any questions about these activities and qualification of participation, please let us know. We would love every student to participant all activities.
3. We are still working measurement topic on math this week. Students will need to have a sense of meter, centimeter, inches, feet, and yards. Please help your students at home by asking them questions like "can you guess about how many inches/feet/yards/centimeter/meter our dining table/ sleeping bed/ back yard/ dad's car is?" After they guess it, you can measure it to see if they get it closely. Also, ask your student to compare which objects is longer/taller. If you don't have a rule at home and would like to borrow one from one, please let me know. Thank you.
4. Morning Chinese announcement for this week is Diesel and Allyson from Red class.
5. If your kid are participating in our Chinese yoyo practice activity, please note that we do NOT have a practice on Thursday, 04/20, because of faculty meeting. Thank you.
