Week 38 (05/21-05/23)
Who's in Mrs. Huang's classroom this week: Morning RED Class; Afternoon BLUE Class; Afternoon RED Class.
What Mrs. Huang wants to say to you:
1. Field Day will be on Monday morning. There will be some water games, so I’d suggest you send your child with a change of clothes and/or send them with a towel. I checked weather forecast, it will be between 63 and 69 F degree Monday morning.
2. Second grade Program will be hold at 9:15 am on Wednesday at gym. Please come and join us with your kids’ performance. If you are checking your kid out after the program, please make sure you have your kid walk with us as a class to go back to classroom so we can control who is getting checked out and who is staying. You know I will be terrified if I found that your kid was checked out and I didn’t know and could not find him/her. You will need to check your kid out at the office first and let us know you are taking your kid home. Thanks.
3. Term 4 report cards will be sent home on May 23rd, the last day of school. Make sure you have your kid’s report card with you before you go home on Wednesday.
4. NO backpack on May 23rd, the last day of school.
5. To help your kid keep practicing Chinese during summer break, I’ll update all Quizizz game and Mandarin Matrix online classes and send you all codes by end of this week. Please check your email later this week.
6. Please visit our class website for what we have done last week. You will enjoy watching all pictures and videos from last week which including pictures from pool party day (The video is not ready yet as I am still editing it.) http://2ndchinesedli.weebly.com/week-37-0514-0518.html
7. I hope your kid had a great school year with me and Mrs. Hansen. Have a great and safe summer!

Please follow the stroke order while your kid is writing Chinese homework. Click on each word for stroke order and other information about the character. To go to the handwriting practice function, please click on each character below, and it will open a new window. Then click on the brush under the word, then you will be able to practice handwriting the character(see the videos below for an example). I really love this function and hope our kids can use it.
