Monday: 1. Aquarium (Rainforest) here for 2nd graders (one hour for each class). 2. Chinese morning announcement: Kerensa and Carson in Red class. Please make sure they arrive my classroom at 8:55 am.
Tuesday: Lock-down drill at 9:30 am
Wednesday: Half day
Thursday: ENCORE day (12:30 -2:30 pm)
Friday: Chinese weekly writing test.
Others:
1. I still need parent volunteers to come and help sorting math worksheets.
2. Quizizz game: Code for Unit 1-3: 955382 ; 1-2: 658182 ; 1-1: 119489. Here’s how: a). Open https://join.quizizz.com in your browser b) Enter the 6-digit game code, and click "Proceed" c) Now enter your student's name and click "Join Game!" d) You will get an avatar, and then see a "Start Game" button. Click it to begin! I played and students whoever gets higher score than I did, s/he will get a sticker. No worries! I intentionally play it in middle score so it should not be difficult to get higher score than mine.

Our class website provides many information you will need including homework download (Chinese and math), Chinese homework writing stroke order, translation, as well as our class pictures and videos. I encourage you to ask your kid what we were doing in the picture which you would know if your kid knows the purpose and content we were learning in Chinese classroom. 6. Please remind your kid to look at me while I am teaching. It’s nearly impossible for our kids to understand me speaking in another language if they don’t look at me. I care this point a lot so I think it would be good for our parents to remind their kids at home as well. Thanks.

Chinese homework stroke Order, definition, and handwriting practice
|
Please follow the stroke order while your kid is writing Chinese homework. Click on each word for stroke order and other information about the character. To go to the handwriting practice function, please click on each character below, and it will open a new window. Then click on the brush under the word, then you will be able to practice handwriting the character(see the videos above for direction). I really love this function and hope our kids can use it.
