6. It’s a short week, so we won’t have a Chinese writing test this week.
7. I will have students to do reading and oral test this week and next. I will use Mandarin Matrix book 4 as a material to test students’ reading fluency ability. If you want to help your kid, you can have them to read from our MMX online class. Website link: lite.mandarinmatrix.com Please use trail user name: [email protected] and password: 12345678 to log in.
8. Our Chinese morning announcement students will be Joshua and Bracken from Red class.
9. Please visit our class website regularly so you can keep on the same page with us. Also, I’d like our kids to write Chinese writing homework with the strake order on our class website at least once or twice a week if you can’t do it every day. I upload pictures and videos on our class website almost every day. I encourage you to ask your kid what we were doing in the picture which you would know if your kid knows the purpose and content we were learning in Chinese classroom. The the teacher say something about one item's characters (like color, shape...), and students guess which item the teacher is saying. Then, a student came up to describe an item and have students to guess. After 3 students came up, the teacher gave each students 3 cards with colored pictures on them. Two students in a pair to play "describe and guess" game.
- Reading and oral test (8 students in each class). This time on reading part, I test students to see how many characters (out of 61) students can pronounce right. On oral part, I ask students 4 questions and see if they can answer in complete sentence (I told them that they need to answer in complete sentence to get full score.). The video below is an example for parents to see how I test students reading. I will keep testing the rest of student tomorrow and on Wednesday.
