Week 2 (08/26-08/30)
What Mrs. Huang wants to say to you:
Quick look at next week!
Monday:
Tuesday:
Wednesday: Fire drill at 3 pm
Thursday:
Friday: Chinese weekly writing test (same as Thursday’s Chinese homework); Assembly at 9 am for grade 1-3
Others:
1. Parent volunteers needed: I need parent volunteers to come and help sorting math worksheets. Some of you helped at Mr. Huang’s classroom. It would be the same thing. We have total of 15 topics to complete. Thanks in advance.
2. We will start daily homework (Chinese, math, reading…) next week. I hope your child and you are ready for it!
3. Daily Chinese writing stroke order, definition, hand writing practice, homework download, class videos and pictures here: http://2ndchinesedli.weebly.com/
4. Please remind your kid to look at me while I am teaching. It’s nearly impossible for our kids to understand me speaking in another language if they don’t look at me. I care this point a lot so I think it would be good for our parents to remind their kids at home as well. Thanks.
5. I will keep emailing/texting parents whose child speak English (intentionally or accidentally) in classroom. Please help me to make this strategy successful. Once you got my email/text, please talk with your child. The purpose of doing this is to build up our children’s habit of speaking Chinese in my classroom.
6. Please sign and return the disclosure in your child’s homework folder if you haven’t yet.
