Week 7 (10/03-10/07)
Who's in Mrs. Huang's classroom this week: Morning RED Class; Afternoon BLUE Class.
What Mrs. Huang wants to say to you:
1. No school for students on 10/07, Friday for Techtoberfest (All teachers are going for a technology training for one day.)
2. Our weekly test will be on Thursday this week as we don't have school for students on Friday. Make sure you have your kid practice it on Wednesday's homework.
3. I made a Quizizz game for students to play at home. This game is for our Unit 6 book 1 不可以玩雪. a). Open http://join.quizizz.com in your browser. b). Enter the 6-digit game code 264336 , and click "Proceed" c). Now enter your student's name and click "Join Game!" d). You will get an avatar, and then see a "Start Game" button. Click it to begin! The best part is that I can see students' result at my end. You know it is difficult for a teacher to assess all students' performance at same time. This will be a great tool if all of you can take the advantage. If I found this is useful and we have more than half parents are using it for their kids, I'll make a Quizizz game for every unit. Please take the opportunity for your student to learn at home. If you don't have internet access, please go to the public library as you can use computer and internet for free there. You can play this game on either mobile devices or computers and it's just taking your kid about 5 minutes to complete it. Please ask your students to play it after Wednesday after they learn the book in class.
4. Our school district bought all 2nd grade students each an online account to access Mandarin Matrix (the set we are using). With the account, your student will be able to practice what we are leaning in class at home. I will give you all your kid's log in user name and password within one week, so please keep an eye on your kid's homework folder for the information. You are going to love it. :)
5. Our Chinese announcement students are Canyon and CarLeigh from Red class. Please make sure they arrive class no later than 8:55 am. Thanks. :)
6. As always, please make sure your students writing their Chinese homework with our class website's help, especially the stroke order. Here's the link for just in case: http://2ndchinesedli.weebly.com/week-7-1003---1007.html
