Chinese homework stroke Order, definition, and handwriting practice
Please follow the stroke order while your kid is writing Chinese homework. Click on each word for stroke order and other information about the character. To go to the handwriting practice function, please click on each character below, and it will open a new window. Then click on the brush under the word, then you will be able to practice handwriting the character. I really love this function and hope our kids can use it.

- Calendar time: Students say and write the date and day. Also have short talk (about 5 minutes) about whatever students want to share.
- Both classes completed topic 11-7
- Showed students where the Africa is (connect to the topic we've talked last Friday about hunger).

- Calendar time: speaking and writing: students say today, yesterday, the day before yesterday, and the day after tomorrow's date and day. And then they write down on their small white board.
- Speaking Activity: Students are role playing they are ordering something but can't decide which food to get. They keep saying "wait a second" and then say another food's name. Students love it and it allows them to practice food's names we are learning this week. The activity idea was from the KFC commercial listed below.
- Reading: Read to self with the my story garden book set.
- Reading: Text book reading.
- Writing: Write some vocabulary and make them into sentences.
- Both class completed topic 11-7.
- Extra math sentences practice. These are challenging ones.
- Math coloring sheet: Students find out answers from the math sentences and then color specific colors on the numbers with the right answers (blue class only).

- Speaking: The teacher shows pictures that the same as in our text book and in our weekly homework and then students come out and say the sentences that matches the pictures.
- Reading: Text book reading.
- Extra math sentences practice. These are challenging ones.
- Math coloring sheet: Students find out answers from the math sentences and then color specific colors on the numbers with the right answers (blue class only).

- Encore (PE/Computer, Art, Library) from 1 pm to 3 pm.
- Calendar time: speaking and writing: students say today, yesterday, the day before yesterday, and the day after tomorrow's date and day. And then they write down on their small white board.
- Reading and speaking: Text book reading and My Story Garden book set.
- Both completed topic 11-9
- Math card game: 4 students in a group with 60 cards (30 math problem cards and 30 answer cards). Each students will get 15 cards. Students take turns to hand out a problem card. The next students will hand out a matched answer card if he/she has it. If not, the next student hand out a matched answer card if he/she has it. The student on turn to hand out matched answer card will get these 2 cards. When all cards on their hands hand out, the student who has the most cards won the game. Students love it and it is a great game for students to practice mental math.
