Chinese homework stroke Order, definition, and handwriting practice
Please follow the stroke order while your kid is writing Chinese homework. Click on each word for stroke order and other information about the character. To go to the handwriting practice function, please click on each character below, and it will open a new window. Then click on the brush under the word, then you will be able to practice handwriting the character. I really love this function and hope our kids can use it.

08/29 (Monday)
- Afternoon students are meditating for 3 minutes after they got back from recess.
- Reading together: book of 我 们 可 不 可 以 坐 下 ?(May we sit down?)
- Speaking activity: two students in a pair, one student pretend that he/she is a student and another one is a teacher. Then the student asks "我可不可以坐下?“ (may I sit down?) and the teacher answers ”好, 你坐下“(yes, you may sit down.)。 And then they take turns.
- Both classes completed topic 1-1. (For today's math topic 1-1, I corrected them all but gave all students 100% as it is the very first day we did worksheets.)

08/30 (Tuesday)
- Assembly from 9:30 am to 10 am.
- Afternoon students are meditating for 3 minutes after they got back from recess.
- Calendar Time: What day/date is today/yesterday/tomorrow/the day before yesterday/the day after tomorrow. And how many days we are in school.
- Reading: Unit 1-3 玩滑梯(Sliding): Two students in a pair. They take turns to read to their partner. I had those who are new have their finger pointed on the word and the partner, who leaned Chinese from first grade, read the content.
- Activity (speaking and listening assignment): We played "telephone" game. I whispered a sentence to a student, and then the student need to find the next person to pass on the message. After some people passing the message, we then see if the message is the same as I passed to the first student. They were having fun.
- Listening: students play the topic 1 computer game, listen and choose the correct answer.
- Listening and Writing: We play the computer game again. Instead of have student to choose (click on) the right answer, I have students to write down the correct answer on their small white board.
- Both classes completed topic 1-2 (addition).
08/31 (Wednesday)
- Short day today!
- 2nd grade Music from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm.
- Calendar Time: What day/date is today/yesterday/tomorrow/the day before yesterday/the day after tomorrow. And how many days we are in school.
- Listening: students play the topic 1 computer game, listen and choose the correct answer.
