Chinese homework stroke Order, definition, and handwriting practice
Please follow the stroke order while your kid is writing Chinese homework. Click on each word for stroke order and other information about the character. To go to the handwriting practice function, please click on each character below, and it will open a new window. Then click on the brush under the word, then you will be able to practice handwriting the character. I really love this function and hope our kids can use it.

- Calendar time: speaking and writing: students say today, yesterday, the day before yesterday, and the day after tomorrow's date and day. And then they write down on their small white board.
- Speaking: Students talk about their spring break. We at first have few students to say to everyone. And then we have two students paired as partner and speak with each other about their spring break.
- Reading: Read to themselves and teacher read to students.
- Reading: read topic text all together.
- Blue class completed topic 12-2.
- Red class completed topic 12-1 & 12-2.
- activities:
- 1. students use rubber band to make shapes on the board.
- 2. teacher puts 3D shapes into empty tissue boxes, one box with one shape. The we have students put their hands into each box and guess what the shape is in the box. The teacher model first. Then I have one student do that with me as an example. Then each student do the same. The first time, I have students say the shape's name and how many edges, faces, and corners. The second time, I have students draw the shape they think it is in the box.
- I use rubber band to make a shape on the board as shown below (the first picture). Then ask students how many rectangular, square, and triangular they can count from the board I made. ^_^

- Discussion about "goods" and "service" (You pay money for something you buy, like candy or cookies, but why you also need to pay for something you don't physically get (like seeing a doctor or plummer serving).

- Students love topic 12 (geometry) so much. They love to learn while we can still play with stuff. (Thanks to Mrs. Hansen who gave me all these cool stuff for students to use in class.)
