What students have done in Chinese class this week:
03/21:
Meth:
- Fire drill at 9:30 am.
- Calendar time: speaking and writing: students say today, yesterday, the day before yesterday, and the day after tomorrow's date and day. And then they write down on their small white board.
- Activity: Egg hunt-- I hide total of 40 eggs in classroom. Each students will need to find 2 eggs. Each egg has a word piece in it. Students will then put all word pieces into total of 7 sentences shown on the pig paper.
- New vocabulary computer matching game: Many vocabulary in this week are words students have learned, so I am so glad that some students can get 100% correct on our new computer matching game on the first day today. Woo-hoo!
- Speaking: I am a super star game: I separate students into 2 groups. In each group, I pick one student as the super star sitting in front of other group members. Students ask the super star questions and the super star answer questions. The super star can pick the next super star for ever 2-3 minutes.
- Writing & Listening & Reading: All students take out their small white board. The teacher play the listening game from last week on the smart board. All students need to write down the correct answer that matches the listening question.
- Reading: read to self and the teacher read to students.
Meth:
- Red class complete topic 13-5
- Blue class complete topic 13 review
- Activity: Math card game: 4 students in a group with 60 cards (30 math problem cards and 30 answer cards). Each students will get 15 cards. Students take turns to hand out a problem card. The next students will hand out a matched answer card if he/she has it. If not, the next student hand out a matched answer card if he/she has it. The student on turn to hand out matched answer card will get these 2 cards. When all cards on their hands hand out, the student who has the most cards won the game. Students love it and it is a great game for students to practice mental math.
